A question.
A page.
A different perspective.
Shake your phone, swipe left, or tap Open. The pages turn and a quotation appears, with its author and source. Some are witty. Others invite you to sit with them a while.
Keep your question to yourself. There’s nothing to type and no account to create. I chose the quotations; the app doesn’t use AI to write an answer.

inside the book.
I recorded this on my iPhone so you can see how the app works. Open a page, save a favorite, and take a look through the menu.

A green cloth book opens to reveal literary quotations. Tapping Again turns to another page. A heart saves the quotation, and the Favorites screen shows saved pages. The menu includes page sounds, saved quotations, Recent Pages, Reader’s Edition, and About. The recording visits About and Support & Privacy, then returns to the book and opens a choice of Classic sharing or the premium share studio.
Keep a thought.
Pass one along.
Save the pages you want to return to, or share a quotation with someone who might enjoy it.

Karen Tucker
At our local library book sale, we found a treasure: The Literary Book of Answers by Carol Bolt. It's since become a shared treasure among friends. And we all love returning to it as a fun daily ritual, when we need a little inspiration, or when we're feeling particularly bookish.
We’re a family of readers, and this little ritual became something we loved doing together. I wanted to make that feeling portable: a pause anytime, and a thought to carry through the day.
Austen’s Owl is an independent app with a separately curated collection, drawn from my own reading and carefully attributed wisdom from around the world.
